Claude Monet paintings we have in stock
Every canvas below is painted by hand in oil on real artist canvas by our studio painters in Dafen Village, Shenzhen. Pick a size, pick a frame, and we send photographs of the finished painting for your approval before anything ships.
Why Monet is the painter most destroyed by printing
A Monet print looks flat because printing averages colour. Monet never averaged anything — he placed a pink next to a green next to a pale blue and let your eye mix them from across the room. That optical mixing is the entire point of Impressionism, and it is the first thing lost when a machine reproduces it.
Hand-painted, every one of those small dabs sits on the canvas as its own mark of real paint, at its own slight angle, catching light individually. Stand close and you see hundreds of separate strokes; step back and the pond surface appears. That shift is what you are actually buying.
How our painters reproduce Monet
- Tonal ground first. Monet's atmospheres depend on what is underneath. We lay a ground mixed toward the painting's overall temperature before any local colour goes on.
- Broken colour, small dabs. Paint is placed, not blended. Each dab is mixed separately — a hundred small decisions rather than one flat tone.
- Glazing for atmosphere. Thin transparent layers build the haze over a harbour or the depth in a pond, which is what makes Monet read as air rather than as paint.
- Restraint at the end. The hardest part is knowing when to stop. Overworking kills the freshness that makes an Impressionist surface breathe.
For Water Lilies we can also shift the palette: golden, pastel, red or soft pink — tell us which tone suits your room and we mix toward it.
