Our policies, in plain language

1 · Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to quote, paint and deliver your order:

• What we collect: your name, contact details (email / WhatsApp number), and the photos and requirements you send us. If you order: your delivery address and payment reference.
• Why: to prepare quotations, produce your painting, ship it, and keep you updated. Nothing else.
• We never sell or share your data with third parties except the couriers (DHL / FedEx / UPS / SF Express) and payment providers strictly needed to fulfil your order.
• Your photos: photos you send for custom paintings are used only to produce your order and to show you previews. We will only share your finished painting publicly (e.g. as a work sample) with your permission.
• Cookies: this website uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Standard server logs (IP, browser type) may be kept for security and statistics.
• Your rights: you can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email trade@dafenarthub.com or message us on WhatsApp and we'll do it promptly.

2 · Terms of Service

Ordering

• Every painting is quoted individually based on size, subject, style and packing format. Quotes are free and carry no obligation.
• A quoted price is held for 14 days unless market or courier rates change materially.

Payment

• Custom orders: 50% deposit to start painting, 50% balance after you confirm the preview, before dispatch.
• Wholesale orders: 50% deposit at order confirmation, balance before shipment.
• We accept bank transfer (T/T), PayPal, credit/debit card (Visa / Mastercard) and Wise. The deposit is non-refundable once painting has started (see section 3).

What you get

• Purely hand-painted original artwork on canvas, produced by our studio's artists in Dafen, Shenzhen.
• Photos of your finished painting, sent to you for preview before dispatch.
• Export-grade packing, full tracking, and insurance for the declared value on every shipment.

Lead times

• Lead times are estimates communicated in your quotation and confirmed in writing. We treat deadlines seriously — if you have a hard date (event, installation, gift), tell us before ordering and we will confirm a realistic plan.

3 · Preview, Refund & Cancellation Policy

We keep our terms short and plain: purely hand-painted, previewed before shipping, and treated fairly.

Preview before shipping

• When your artist finishes the painting, we photograph it and send the photos to you before dispatch. Anything that needs adjusting — colour, detail, composition — tell us and we adjust it.

Not purely hand-painted? Refund

• Every piece we ship is hand-painted on real canvas by our studio's artists in Dafen. If a painting you receive is not purely hand-painted, we refund it.

Cancellation & deposit

• Before painting starts: deposit refunded in full, no questions.
• After painting starts: the deposit covers artist time and materials already committed, and is non-refundable — but you can pause the order and restart within 6 months with no extra charge.
• Stock paintings: cancel before dispatch — we refund, or hold the amount as credit for a future order.

For card and PayPal payments, refunds are issued through the original payment channel. For bank transfers, refunds are returned to the originating account minus bank charges, if any.

4 · Shipping Policy

• We ship worldwide — to every country and region — from Dafen, Shenzhen, via DHL, FedEx, UPS, SF Express and vetted freight partners.
• Packing options: rolled in a protective tube (most economical), stretched on kiln-dried wooden bars, or framed with protective crating.
• Transit: express typically 3–7 business days door-to-door; bulk orders by air or sea freight on a quoted schedule. Full tracking is provided for every shipment.
• Customs: original hand-painted oil paintings (HS 9701) enter the USA and most other markets at 0% import duty; destination VAT/GST may apply on the declared value. Orders ship DAP by default (DDP on request) — with DDP we prepay duties and taxes so nothing is owed on delivery.
• Insurance: every shipment is insured for its declared value at no extra charge.
• Indicative shipping estimates by size and destination are published on our shipping page; your exact cost is confirmed in your quotation.
