What you are looking at
Portrait of a Young Man 9fdcb0 holds one person under steady attention. What makes it stay with you is the hands and the set of the shoulders — the parts a portrait usually rushes.
Portrait of a Young Man 9fdcb0. Our painter follows the same logic rather than copying a photograph of it: the shadow side of the face is mixed from colour rather than grey, which is where most copies go dead.
Why this one has to be painted by hand
Portraits are where a print fails hardest, because skin is made of a dozen small colour shifts. A painter puts those back in the shadow side, where a press just lays down grey.
Every canvas is painted to order, so the quote follows your size, frame and destination rather than a fixed list. Tell us what you need on WhatsApp and we reply with an exact figure, usually within the hour. You deal directly with the studio that paints it — no reseller layer.

This one reads well as the single dark-framed piece in a light room. Because the painter works freehand on a blank canvas we keep the proportions of the original rather than cropping to fit, so an unusually wide or tall composition stays honest at any size.
Questions people ask before ordering
What size should I order for Portrait of a Young Man 9fdcb0?
Most collectors take a portrait between 20 x 16 in and 30 x 24 in — big enough for the face to carry, small enough to stay intimate. If your wall needs something else, say so and we quote it.
Is Portrait of a Young Man 9fdcb0 in the public domain?
Albrecht Dürer died in 1528, which puts this work in the public domain — commissioning a hand-painted reproduction is legal, and owning one is legal anywhere in the world. We never pass ours off as the original and never issue certificates of authenticity.
How long does a hand-painted version take?
Roughly two to four weeks of studio time depending mostly on size and how much impasto the surface carries, then several more days for the oil to set before we can photograph and pack it. We send photographs of your actual painting for approval before anything ships.
How close will it be to the original?
It is painted by hand from the same image you are looking at, so it is a painting of the painting, not a scan. Expect the composition, colour and drawing to follow the original closely, and expect the brushwork to be our painter's own — that is the point of commissioning one. You approve photographs before it ships.
