A closer look
Carl Haag opens the view wide here — The Morning Prayer gives you the place without putting anyone in it. The land is built in layers, each one a different temperature of the same colour, so the eye walks into the distance instead of stopping at the frame.
The Morning Prayer. Our painter follows the same logic rather than copying a photograph of it: the far distances go down cool and weak, the near ground stays loaded, and nothing is blended flat.

Where the difficulty is
A print flattens a landscape into a poster: the distance collapses, and the sky stops being weather. Painted by hand the depth comes back, because the painter mixes a cooler, weaker version of every colour for the far ground and lets the near ground stay loaded.
Every canvas is painted to order, so the quote follows your size, frame and destination rather than a fixed list. Tell us what you need on WhatsApp and we reply with an exact figure, usually within the hour. You are buying from the workshop, not a catalogue.
Canvas sizes
The canvas is cut to your wall. For reference, these are the dimensions clients request most:
| Size (inches) | Size (cm) | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 40 × 30 in | 102 × 76 cm | Living room focal wall, above a sofa |
| 32 × 24 in | 81 × 61 cm | Living room, above a sideboard |
| 30 × 24 in | 76 × 61 cm | Dining room, bedroom feature wall |
| 24 × 20 in | 60 × 50 cm | Study, home office, above a desk |
| 20 × 16 in | 50 × 40 cm | Bedroom, hallway, above a console |
| 16 × 12 in | 40 × 30 cm | A shelf, a small wall, a gallery group |
If none of these is quite right, tell us the dimensions you need. Irregular and oversized canvases are routine. Frames and delivery are priced once you have chosen them. Any duties or import taxes are payable by the buyer (DAP).

It sits naturally over a sofa or sideboard. The painter works freehand on a blank canvas, so we keep the proportions of the original rather than cropping to fit — an unusually wide or tall composition stays honest at any size.
Before you order
Will the light effects survive reproduction?
Sunrise and sunset passages are the hardest thing to copy mechanically, and the easiest to get wrong by hand. The painter builds the glow in layers underneath, the way the original does.
Will it look exactly like the image?
Not exactly, and that is the point — it is a painting, not a scan. Composition, colour and drawing follow the original closely; the surface is where a painter's own decisions show.
When will it actually arrive?
Studio time is roughly two to four weeks, then a few more days for the oil to set before we can photograph and pack it. We tell you where your canvas is at each stage.
