The story is famous; the painting is about something else. Ismenie uses an old story to get at something physical — texture, temperature, and the way cloth takes light.
Ismenie. Our painter follows the same logic rather than copying a photograph of it: skin and cloth are given different textures, which is the one thing a printed copy always flattens.

What makes it hard to copy
Printing gives skin and drapery one surface. The painter has to give them two: something that yields, and something that folds. That contrast is most of the picture.

Treat this as a starting point. We cut canvases to whatever the wall requires. Framing and freight are separate line items. Customs duties and import taxes are the buyer's responsibility (DAP).

Dust lightly with a dry, soft brush and keep it out of direct sun. Nothing else is needed for decades; oil paint is slow to change and easy to live with.
