Where to start looking
Baptism Scene in a Classical City treats a sacred subject as something happening next door. The sacred subject is treated as something happening in a room, with real weight and real hands.
Baptism Scene in a Classical City. Our painter follows the same logic rather than copying a photograph of it: the dark passages keep their colour instead of going black, so the light has something to work against.

Why hand-painting matters here
Printed, the shadows go to mud and the figures detach from the space they are standing in. A painter keeps the darkness transparent, which is what holds the room together.
Every canvas is painted to order, so the quote follows your size, frame and destination rather than a fixed list. Tell us what you need on WhatsApp and we reply with an exact figure, usually within the hour. No resellers, no drop-shipper. The painter's studio handles your commission from first message to final crate.
Canvas sizes
You are choosing the canvas, not picking from stock. These are the sizes that come up most often:
| Size (inches) | Size (cm) | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 40 × 30 in | 102 × 76 cm | Living room focal wall, above a sofa |
| 32 × 24 in | 81 × 61 cm | Living room, above a sideboard |
| 30 × 24 in | 76 × 61 cm | Dining room, bedroom feature wall |
| 24 × 20 in | 60 × 50 cm | Study, home office, above a desk |
| 20 × 16 in | 50 × 40 cm | Bedroom, hallway, above a console |
If you need a panoramic or an unusually tall canvas, that is a normal request here. Framing and shipping are quoted separately. Duties and import taxes are the buyer's responsibility (DAP).
Give us your size and framing preference and you will have a quote shortly.

This one reads well as a focal point in a living room. Nothing gets cropped to suit a standard canvas. We build to the original's dimensions and scale from there.
Before you order
Does changing the size change the composition?
No — we keep the original's proportions and scale from there, rather than cropping the image to fit a standard frame.
How long does a hand-painted version take?
Roughly two to four weeks of studio time, depending mostly on size and how much impasto the surface carries, then several more days for the oil to set before we photograph, pack and send.
Will it look exactly like the image?
Not exactly, and that is the point — it is a painting, not a scan. Composition, colour and drawing follow the original closely; the surface is where a painter's own decisions show.
