Why this one cannot be printed
A print flattens a landscape into a poster: the distance collapses, and the sky stops being weather. Painted by hand the depth comes back, because the painter mixes a cooler, weaker version of every colour for the far ground and lets the near ground stay loaded.
The cost depends entirely on what you ask for: how large, how much texture, whether you want a frame. Tell us on WhatsApp and we come back with a number, normally within the hour. No resellers, no drop-shipper. The painter's studio handles your commission from first message to final crate.
Choosing a size
You are choosing the canvas, not picking from stock. These are the sizes that come up most often:

This one reads well on a stairwell wall, where the depth opens the space up. Nothing gets cropped to suit a standard canvas. We build to the original's dimensions and scale from there.
The practical questions
How close will it be to the original?
The composition, colour and drawing follow the original closely; the brushwork carries the painter's own hand. The painter works freehand on a blank canvas, following the same logic as the original rather than copying a photograph.
Do you work from my own photograph?
Yes, though that is a separate service. This page is for a hand-painted version of Maternal Affection; for a photo-to-painting commission, send the image on WhatsApp.
When will it actually arrive?
Studio time is roughly two to four weeks, then a few more days for the oil to set before we can photograph and pack it. We tell you where your canvas is at each stage.
