A closer look
The darks are coloured rather than blackened, and that is what keeps them alive.
Whites are tinted, which is why the light looks like light rather than like paper.
The date is uncertain — it is filed simply as by Frederick Goodall.

What a print loses
Landscape is the first thing printing ruins. The press gives you the same green at fifty metres as at five, and the whole point of the picture was that they are not the same green. A painter rebuilds that difference pass by pass, and the depth returns.
Pricing is worked out from three things — the canvas size, the amount of impasto you want, and framing. Send those on WhatsApp and we will quote, usually within the hour. There is no agency in between; the studio that paints your canvas is the one answering your messages.
Canvas sizes
Because we paint each piece from scratch, you are not limited to stock dimensions. Common choices:
| Size (inches) | Size (cm) | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 40 × 30 in | 102 × 76 cm | Living room focal wall, above a sofa |
| 32 × 24 in | 81 × 61 cm | Living room, above a sideboard |
| 30 × 24 in | 76 × 61 cm | Dining room, bedroom feature wall |
| 24 × 20 in | 60 × 50 cm | Study, home office, above a desk |
Larger canvases are possible, and so is anything in between. Just send the size you want. Shipping and framing are not included in the canvas quote. Duties and import taxes are for the buyer's account (DAP).
Tell us where it will hang and how big it needs to be — we will price it properly.

We have painted it most often for clients hanging it over a sofa or sideboard. Proportions follow the original, not the nearest standard frame size. Anything panoramic or vertical is handled as a matter of course.
Before you order
Is it really painted by hand?
Yes. We hand-paint from public-domain source images, do not sell prints, and never claim the original.
Can I resell the reproduction?
Yes. Because the underlying work is in the public domain, the hand-painted canvas is yours to sell, gift or install commercially.
Can I change something in the composition?
Often yes — background, cropping, or adapting the proportions to your wall. Tell us what you have in mind and we will say honestly whether it will work.
