What you are looking at
There is a whole day's weather in this one. Maurice Denis Nymphe gives you the place without putting anyone in it — and the light is not painted as illumination but as something the surface itself is doing.
Maurice Denis Nymphe. Our painter follows the same logic rather than copying a photograph of it: the far distances go down cool and weak, the near ground stays loaded, and nothing is blended flat.
Why this one has to be painted by hand
A print flattens a landscape into a poster: the distance collapses, and the sky stops being weather. Painted by hand the depth comes back, because the painter mixes a cooler, weaker version of every colour for the far ground and lets the near ground stay loaded.
Every canvas is painted to order, so the quote follows your size, frame and destination rather than a fixed list. Tell us what you need on WhatsApp and we reply with an exact figure, usually within the hour. You deal directly with the studio that paints it — no reseller layer.

💬 Get a Quote for NympheWhere a Nymphe hangs best
This one reads well in a hallway where the view is the point. Because the painter works freehand on a blank canvas we keep the proportions of the original rather than cropping to fit, so an unusually wide or tall composition stays honest at any size.
Questions people ask before ordering
What size should I order for Maurice Denis Nymphe?
Landscape usually lands between 24 x 20 in and 40 x 30 in; wider than that it starts asking for a whole wall. If your wall needs something else, say so and we quote it.
Is Maurice Denis Nymphe in the public domain?
Maurice Denis died in 1943, which puts this work in the public domain — commissioning a hand-painted reproduction is legal, and owning one is legal anywhere in the world. We never pass ours off as the original and never issue certificates of authenticity.
How long does a hand-painted version take?
Roughly two to four weeks of studio time depending mostly on size and how much impasto the surface carries, then several more days for the oil to set before we can photograph and pack it. We send photographs of your actual painting for approval before anything ships.
How close will it be to the original?
It is painted by hand from the same image you are looking at, so it is a painting of the painting, not a scan. Expect the composition, colour and drawing to follow the original closely, and expect the brushwork to be our painter's own — that is the point of commissioning one. You approve photographs before it ships.
