There is a whole day's weather in this one. La Captive gives you the place without putting anyone in it — and the light is not painted as illumination but as something the surface itself is doing.

Why this one cannot be printed
A print flattens a landscape into a poster: the distance collapses, and the sky stops being weather. Painted by hand the depth comes back, because the painter mixes a cooler, weaker version of every colour for the far ground and lets the near ground stay loaded.
Every canvas is painted to order, so the quote follows your size, frame and destination rather than a fixed list. Tell us what you need on WhatsApp and we reply with an exact figure, usually within the hour. There is no agency in between; the studio that paints your canvas is the one answering your messages.

Because we paint each piece from scratch, you are not limited to stock dimensions. Common choices:

We have painted it most often for clients hanging it in a hallway where the view is the point. Proportions follow the original, not the nearest standard frame size. Anything panoramic or vertical is handled as a matter of course.

What if it does not look right to me?
We send photographs of the actual painting for your approval before anything ships. That is the moment to tell us what to adjust.
Is it legal to own a reproduction?
Yes. The painting is in the public domain, so reproducing it is legal and owning one is legal anywhere in the world. We never pass ours off as the original.
Do you frame it?
Framing is quoted separately, so you can decide once you have seen the finished canvas in photographs.
