The painting itself
Depth is handled by temperature here more than by size.
Aerial perspective is pushed further than it strictly should be, and it works.
It carries no secure date and is listed under Tom Thomson.

Why this one cannot be printed
Portraits are where a print fails hardest, because skin is made of a dozen small colour shifts. A painter puts those back in the shadow side, where a press just lays down grey. It is the reason this one is worth having painted rather than printed.
Pricing is worked out from three things — the canvas size, the amount of impasto you want, and framing. Send those on WhatsApp and we will quote, usually within the hour. You deal directly with the studio that paints it — no reseller layer.
What size works
Every canvas is painted to order, so the size is yours to choose. These are the ones people ask for most:
| Size (inches) | Size (cm) | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 24 × 20 in | 60 × 50 cm | Study, home office, above a desk |
| 20 × 16 in | 50 × 40 cm | Bedroom, hallway, above a console |
| 16 × 12 in | 40 × 30 cm | A shelf, a small wall, a gallery group |
| 64 × 48 in | 163 × 122 cm | Villa scale, lobby, hospitality wall |
| 48 × 36 in | 122 × 91 cm | Large living room, stairwell, loft |
| 40 × 30 in | 102 × 76 cm | Living room focal wall, above a sofa |
The list is not exhaustive. Send your measurements and we will quote to them. We quote the canvas first; framing and shipping come after. Import duties and taxes fall to the buyer (DAP).
Send the wall, the size and whether you want a frame, and we will quote.

In practice it works best along a stairwell, following the eye upward. Because each canvas is built from scratch, we follow the original's proportions instead of trimming the image to a standard shape. Panoramic and vertical formats are both fine.
What people ask us
When will it actually arrive?
Studio time is roughly two to four weeks, then a few more days for the oil to set before we can photograph and pack it. We tell you where your canvas is at each stage.
How do I clean and care for it?
Dust lightly with a dry, soft brush and keep it out of direct sun. Nothing else is needed for decades; oil paint is slow to change and easy to live with.
Is it legal to own a reproduction?
Yes. The painting is in the public domain, so reproducing it is legal and owning one is legal anywhere in the world. We never pass ours off as the original.
