A closer look
The darks are coloured rather than blackened, and that is what keeps them alive.
Whites are tinted, which is why the light looks like light rather than like paper.
The date is uncertain — it is filed simply as by Tom Thomson.

What a print loses
Landscape is the first thing printing ruins. The press gives you the same green at fifty metres as at five, and the whole point of the picture was that they are not the same green. A painter rebuilds that difference pass by pass, and the depth returns. It is subtle, and it is the whole thing.
Pricing is worked out from three things — the canvas size, the amount of impasto you want, and framing. Send those on WhatsApp and we will quote, usually within the hour. No resellers, no drop-shipper. The painter's studio handles your commission from first message to final crate.
Canvas sizes
You are choosing the canvas, not picking from stock. These are the sizes that come up most often:
| Size (inches) | Size (cm) | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 48 × 18 in | 122 × 46 cm | Panoramic wall, open-plan living area |
| 60 × 20 in | 152 × 51 cm | Lobby, hospitality corridor, large loft |
| 72 × 24 in | 183 × 61 cm | Villa scale, double-height wall |
| 30 × 12 in | 76 × 30 cm | A long wall that would swallow a normal canvas |
Larger canvases are possible, and so is anything in between. Just send the size you want. Framing and shipping are quoted separately. Duties and import taxes are the buyer's responsibility (DAP).
Give us your size and framing preference and you will have a quote shortly.

This one reads well in a study or home office, above the desk. Nothing gets cropped to suit a standard canvas. We build to the original's dimensions and scale from there.
Before you order
Does changing the size change the composition?
No — we keep the original's proportions and scale from there, rather than cropping the image to fit a standard frame.
Will it look exactly like the image?
Not exactly, and that is the point — it is a painting, not a scan. Composition, colour and drawing follow the original closely; the surface is where a painter's own decisions show.
Can I change something in the composition?
Often yes — background, cropping, or adapting the proportions to your wall. Tell us what you have in mind and we will say honestly whether it will work.
