Reading the canvas
The eye travels into the distance rather than stopping at the frame.
Aerial perspective is pushed further than it strictly should be, and it works.
It carries no secure date and is listed under Tom Thomson.

What makes it hard to copy
Reflections only work if the paint stays separate — a press fuses everything into one muddy tone. Laid in stroke by stroke, the surface holds both readings at once: water from across the room, paint up close. It is subtle, and it is the whole thing.
The number depends on the canvas. Larger means more paint and more studio hours; heavy texture and framing add again. Tell us what you have in mind and we will price it. You deal directly with the studio that paints it — no reseller layer.
What size works
Every canvas is painted to order, so the size is yours to choose. These are the ones people ask for most:
| Size (inches) | Size (cm) | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 24 × 20 in | 60 × 50 cm | Study, home office, above a desk |
| 20 × 16 in | 50 × 40 cm | Bedroom, hallway, above a console |
| 16 × 12 in | 40 × 30 cm | A shelf, a small wall, a gallery group |
| 64 × 48 in | 163 × 122 cm | Villa scale, lobby, hospitality wall |
Treat this as a starting point. We cut canvases to whatever the wall requires. We quote the canvas first; framing and shipping come after. Import duties and taxes fall to the buyer (DAP).
Send the wall, the size and whether you want a frame, and we will quote.

In practice it works best on a large living room wall where it can be read from across the room. Because each canvas is built from scratch, we follow the original's proportions instead of trimming the image to a standard shape. Panoramic and vertical formats are both fine.
What people ask us
What size should I order?
You choose the size. Each canvas is cut to your measurements rather than pulled from stock, so tell us the wall dimensions and we will tell you what proportion works.
Is it legal to own a reproduction?
Yes. The painting is in the public domain, so reproducing it is legal and owning one is legal anywhere in the world. We never pass ours off as the original.
Is there a rush option?
It depends on the canvas and what else is in the studio. Ask on WhatsApp with your size and we will tell you straight what is possible.
