What is actually happening
It reads as a simple arrangement until you start measuring where things sit.
Space is rationed carefully; the emptier passages are doing as much work as the busy ones.
Undated, and catalogued simply as a work by Winslow Homer.

Why hand-painting matters here
What you lose in a print is the air. The original puts hazier, cooler paint between you and the horizon; a press prints the haze as a flat wash. Handled by hand the far ground goes back where it belongs. Reproducing it means making the same call, brush in hand.
We quote per commission rather than from a catalogue, because size, surface and framing move the number more than anything else. Message us on WhatsApp with your wall in mind and we will price it properly. You deal directly with the studio that paints it — no reseller layer.
Sizing it
Every canvas is painted to order, so the size is yours to choose. These are the ones people ask for most:
| Size (inches) | Size (cm) | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 36 × 14 in | 91 × 36 cm | Above a wide sideboard or a long console |
| 40 × 16 in | 102 × 41 cm | Stairwell, or a hallway with room to run |
| 48 × 18 in | 122 × 46 cm | Panoramic wall, open-plan living area |
| 60 × 20 in | 152 × 51 cm | Lobby, hospitality corridor, large loft |
| 72 × 24 in | 183 × 61 cm | Villa scale, double-height wall |
Anything outside this table is fine. Give us the measurements and we will work to them. We quote the canvas first; framing and shipping come after. Import duties and taxes fall to the buyer (DAP).
Send the wall, the size and whether you want a frame, and we will quote.

In practice it works best in a dining room, where the horizontals echo the table. Because each canvas is built from scratch, we follow the original's proportions instead of trimming the image to a standard shape. Panoramic and vertical formats are both fine.
Questions worth asking
Can I get this in a size that is not listed?
Yes — the listed sizes are the common requests, not a limit. Very wide or unusually tall proportions are routine for us.
Can I see progress photos while it is being painted?
We send photographs of the finished painting for approval before it ships. Mid-process images are not part of the standard workflow.
Does it come with a certificate of authenticity?
No, and we would be wary of anyone who issues one for a public-domain reproduction. What you receive is a hand-painted canvas and photographs of it before it ships.
