Where to start looking
Edges are left soft where they matter and sharpened where the eye should stop.
There is a deliberate off-balance here: the weight leans left, and the right side has to hold it.
Undated, and catalogued simply as a work by Winslow Homer.

Where the difficulty is
Printed water goes flat and dead — the movement is the one thing a press cannot reproduce. Hand-painted, every wave is a separate loaded stroke that catches light on its own edge, so the surface genuinely moves as you walk past it. It is the reason this one is worth having painted rather than printed.
There is no price list because there is no standard job. Tell us the wall, the size and whether you want it framed, and we will come back with a figure. You deal directly with the studio that paints it — no reseller layer.
Sizing it
Every canvas is painted to order, so the size is yours to choose. These are the ones people ask for most:
| Size (inches) | Size (cm) | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 72 × 24 in | 183 × 61 cm | Villa scale, double-height wall |
| 30 × 12 in | 76 × 30 cm | A long wall that would swallow a normal canvas |
| 36 × 14 in | 91 × 36 cm | Above a wide sideboard or a long console |
| 40 × 16 in | 102 × 41 cm | Stairwell, or a hallway with room to run |
| 48 × 18 in | 122 × 46 cm | Panoramic wall, open-plan living area |
| 60 × 20 in | 152 × 51 cm | Lobby, hospitality corridor, large loft |
Do not worry if your wall sits between two of these — we will make the canvas to fit. We quote the canvas first; framing and shipping come after. Import duties and taxes fall to the buyer (DAP).
Send the wall, the size and whether you want a frame, and we will quote.

In practice it works best on a wide wall where the horizon has room to run. Because each canvas is built from scratch, we follow the original's proportions instead of trimming the image to a standard shape. Panoramic and vertical formats are both fine.
Questions worth asking
When will it actually arrive?
Studio time is roughly two to four weeks, then a few more days for the oil to set before we can photograph and pack it. We tell you where your canvas is at each stage.
Can I see progress photos while it is being painted?
We send photographs of the finished painting for approval before it ships. Mid-process images are not part of the standard workflow.
Why not just print it?
A print flattens the surface into a poster: the distance collapses and the highlights turn to grey. Paint keeps the depth and the texture the original was built from.
