What is actually happening
Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant paints muscle and weather together. The Sultan's Tiger is drawn before it is coloured, and the creature carries real weight on the ground.
The Sultan's Tiger. Our painter follows the same logic rather than copying a photograph of it: the drawing is put in first — bone structure and the direction of the coat — and only then coloured.

Why this one cannot be printed
Animals need drawing, and a print only reproduces the outline. Hand-painted, the bone structure and the direction of the coat are put back in, which is what makes it read as alive.
Every canvas is painted to order, so the quote follows your size, frame and destination rather than a fixed list. Tell us what you need on WhatsApp and we reply with an exact figure, usually within the hour. You deal directly with the studio that paints it — no reseller layer.
What size works
Every canvas is painted to order, so the size is yours to choose. These are the ones people ask for most:
| Size (inches) | Size (cm) | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 48 × 36 in | 122 × 91 cm | Large living room, stairwell, loft |
| 40 × 30 in | 102 × 76 cm | Living room focal wall, above a sofa |
| 32 × 24 in | 81 × 61 cm | Living room, above a sideboard |
| 30 × 24 in | 76 × 61 cm | Dining room, bedroom feature wall |
| 24 × 20 in | 60 × 50 cm | Study, home office, above a desk |
| 20 × 16 in | 50 × 40 cm | Bedroom, hallway, above a console |
The list is not exhaustive. Send your measurements and we will quote to them. We quote the canvas first; framing and shipping come after. Import duties and taxes fall to the buyer (DAP).
Send the wall, the size and whether you want a frame, and we will quote.

In practice it works best above a console in a hallway. Because each canvas is built from scratch, we follow the original's proportions instead of trimming the image to a standard shape. Panoramic and vertical formats are both fine.
What people ask us
When will it actually arrive?
Studio time is roughly two to four weeks, then a few more days for the oil to set before we can photograph and pack it. We tell you where your canvas is at each stage.
How do I clean and care for it?
Dust lightly with a dry, soft brush and keep it out of direct sun. Nothing else is needed for decades; oil paint is slow to change and easy to live with.
What size should I order?
You choose the size. Each canvas is cut to your measurements rather than pulled from stock, so tell us the wall dimensions and we will tell you what proportion works.
