What you are looking at
Still Life with Apples is less an arrangement than a record of light on petals. The point is not the flower as an object but the light passing through it, which is why the thin petals carry the brightest notes in the canvas.
Still Life with Apples. In our studio the thing that matters is how Paul Cézanne actually works: Cézanne builds volume from small parallel planes of colour rather than from shading, so the form is constructed, not modelled.
Why this one has to be painted by hand
Flower prints lose the transparency — the petals go opaque and the bouquet turns into wallpaper. By hand the thin petals are glazed so light passes through them, which is the only way to get that edge-lit look.
Every canvas is painted to order, so the quote follows your size, frame and destination rather than a fixed list. Tell us what you need on WhatsApp and we reply with an exact figure, usually within the hour. You deal directly with the studio that paints it — no reseller layer.

This one reads well on a dressing-room wall. Because the painter works freehand on a blank canvas we keep the proportions of the original rather than cropping to fit, so an unusually wide or tall composition stays honest at any size.
Questions people ask before ordering
What size should I order for Still Life with Apples?
Flower pieces are often taken at 20 x 16 in or 24 x 20 in — they read as objects rather than as views. If your wall needs something else, say so and we quote it.
Is Still Life with Apples in the public domain?
Paul Cézanne died in 1906, which puts this work in the public domain — commissioning a hand-painted reproduction is legal, and owning one is legal anywhere in the world. We never pass ours off as the original and never issue certificates of authenticity.
How long does a hand-painted version take?
Roughly two to four weeks of studio time depending mostly on size and how much impasto the surface carries, then several more days for the oil to set before we can photograph and pack it. We send photographs of your actual painting for approval before anything ships.
How close will it be to the original?
It is painted by hand from the same image you are looking at, so it is a painting of the painting, not a scan. Expect the composition, colour and drawing to follow the original closely, and expect the brushwork to be our painter's own — that is the point of commissioning one. You approve photographs before it ships.
