What the painter is doing here
Head of a man with a short beard holds one person under steady attention. What makes it stay with you is the hands and the set of the shoulders — the parts a portrait usually rushes.
Head of a man with a short beard. Our painter follows the same logic rather than copying a photograph of it: the shadow side of the face is mixed from colour rather than grey, which is where most copies go dead.

Where the difficulty is
Portraits are where a print fails hardest, because skin is made of a dozen small colour shifts. A painter puts those back in the shadow side, where a press just lays down grey.
Every canvas is painted to order, so the quote follows your size, frame and destination rather than a fixed list. Tell us what you need on WhatsApp and we reply with an exact figure, usually within the hour. There is no agency in between; the studio that paints your canvas is the one answering your messages.
Sizing it
Because we paint each piece from scratch, you are not limited to stock dimensions. Common choices:
| Size (inches) | Size (cm) | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 30 × 24 in | 76 × 61 cm | Dining room, bedroom feature wall |
| 24 × 20 in | 60 × 50 cm | Study, home office, above a desk |
| 20 × 16 in | 50 × 40 cm | Bedroom, hallway, above a console |
| 16 × 12 in | 40 × 30 cm | A shelf, a small wall, a gallery group |
| 64 × 48 in | 163 × 122 cm | Villa scale, lobby, hospitality wall |
| 48 × 36 in | 122 × 91 cm | Large living room, stairwell, loft |
Do not worry if your wall sits between two of these — we will make the canvas to fit. Shipping and framing are not included in the canvas quote. Duties and import taxes are for the buyer's account (DAP).
Tell us where it will hang and how big it needs to be — we will price it properly.

We have painted it most often for clients hanging it in an entrance hall, at eye level. Proportions follow the original, not the nearest standard frame size. Anything panoramic or vertical is handled as a matter of course.
Questions worth asking
Why not just print it?
A print flattens the surface into a poster: the distance collapses and the highlights turn to grey. Paint keeps the depth and the texture the original was built from.
When will it actually arrive?
Studio time is roughly two to four weeks, then a few more days for the oil to set before we can photograph and pack it. We tell you where your canvas is at each stage.
What happens after I message you?
You tell us the painting, size and whether you want a frame. We quote, a painter starts on your canvas, and you get photographs before it ships.
